  • Review Lean Charter forms and Lean Event Financial Summaries, making sure the information is   populated to best ability. Transfer this information into the Continuous Process Improvement Management System (CPIMS).
  • Helping to establish a data management tool by analyzing hard copy data and making it more readily available via web/intranet
  • Research data and create process mapping documentation using iGrafx, to use in conjunction with CPIMS, of Key Processes that are used by each of the 10 code divisions at the facility.

  • Worked on a team with the US Army as a student researcher analyzing data from the Iraq War and gathered data based on insurgency.  This data was used for the design of a relational database created using MS Access, SQL Server, and MS Excel.
  • Used the relational database for the analysis and presentation of psychological data in comparison with statistical data as it related to everyday life of civilians and insurgents.
  • Worked with NASA Langley on the flight control deck system using software tools such as Rational Modeler, iGrafx, and MS Access to construct models for the analysis of complex systems within the flight control deck systems.
  • Used agile methodology to work with customers to resolve issues with the problem being researched and to discuss the solutions in a part-by-part analytical breakdown.

Lean Manufacturing Engineer Intern, May/08 – Feb/09

-          Effectively applied principles of Lean Manufacturing learned during internship in order to improve production and quality in factory setting.
-          Record the different processes to get a visual understanding and analysis of the value added elements that make up each process.
-          Analyze statistical data to establish performance standards among the operators.
-          Suggest different types of process improvements to decrease hours on the V-22 and CF34 aircrafts, also create schedules to implement improvement action items.
-          Using Kaizen Approach to effectively plan facility layouts.
-          Managed operators to make sure building metrics were being satisfied.
-          Acted as a customer service representative answering calls and online queries for inbound customers helping resolve issues, complete build orders, and produce tool and aircraft schedules for building order.
-          Created a facility design layout for the 747-8 thrust reverser’s build in the factory. Used iGrafx to outline the process flow for that particular work center and used MS Visio to show footprints of how and where each element in the work cell would be positioned in conjunction with the traffic flow of process and materials needed.

Process & Supply Chain Engineer Intern, Jan/07 – Jul/07

-          Managed the production variances of the production line for Signal Sources Processing Center.
-          Performed cycle counting at beginning of every month to ensure inventories were efficient to match cost and production metrics within the company’s ERP. This helped keep a maintained catalog of the warehouse and what is needed on a monthly basis.
-          Worked with inbound and outbound clients in the warehouse facilities packaging and shipping orders and also dissecting the process in order to modify and have a more efficient storage and shipping facility.
-          Created a process, Direct to Line, to help with the warehouse and storage of items.  Used iGrafx software tool to design diagrams which helped to organize and determine if the items were to be used in different parts of the facility. Also setup a workflow of the major items that were built within iGrafx.
      -          Worked on several smaller projects that helped the Industrial and Supply Chain Engineering Team    perform at a high level, and worked for the benefit of the Electronics Management Group at Agilent.
